Before I got pregnant, I always listened to my friends’ birth experiences and what they told me was birth is very scary and painful. That's why in my mind I thought that giving birth would as painful as others did! Before learning about hypnobirthing, I really feel very fearful about giving birth. I guess that is the influence from all those horror birth stories I listened to!

I was so grateful that I came across hynobirthing one month before my due date. I read through the book and listened to the CD, and found it very useful. I read through the birth affirmations every day one week before my due date. It made me redefine the birth experience. Actually the birth can be a wonderful experience if we know how to apply the right methods.

When I was pregnant I always communicated with my baby, “Please let mummy give birth without so much pain”. I also told my baby to let me attend Selina’s talk first before I give birth. All I wanted to do really happened, it was so amazing! 

I attended Selina’s talk on hypnobirthing on 24^th June 07, three days before my due date. In fact, my husband didn't allow me to attend because it was too close to my due date! But I insisted because I knew that it would help me through my childbirth and it really did!

I also believe that the subconscious mind really works because few days before my due date, I read through the birth affirmations every day before sleep. I believe that it already went into my subconscious mind because on my delivery date, I did not feel any fear.

I gave birth on my due date. Whenever a surge came, I suggested to my mind that it is not painful and nearly three hours later, I finally had my baby girl. I was still listening to the CD while giving birth!

I would like to recommend others especially the first time mums to attend Selina’s class, because they will really get a whole new experience!
